This Gecko 9920-400446 provides a safety cut-off against the water temperature becoming too hot due to a defect elsewhere in the control system. The probe slides into the pocket on the heater tube, and the flat plastic 2-pin plug connects straight to the PCB. This is used on SSPA and MSPA-MP systems. It is very important to make sure the probe and plug are securely connected in order for it to work properly.
