The Intermatic Timer PF1103T is a self-contained, indoor/outdoor, beige, rainproof timer with freezing protection control that is made to automatically control and safeguard plumbing and pool/spa equipment against freezing damage. If wired in accordance with the instructions, it switches the filter pump ON/OFF daily and ON when the air temperature (where it is placed) falls below the temperature set by the thermostat dial (between 33 and 42 degrees Fahrenheit). It is not, however, meant to take the place of insulation, covers, or maintenance.
