Turn off your controller and all feeds first and that entails shutting off the flow cell valves, manually unscrewing the sensors from the flow cell, and then disconnecting the connectors. When keeping sensors for an extended period, place them in clean water or distilled water, and the soaking caps supplied with the original storage solution. When not in use, take precautions to avoid freezing temperatures. A pH or ORP sensor should never be allowed to dry fully. Drying ruins the reference connection, nullifying the sensor's warranty.
