This Waterway 672-8040 is a great choice for those looking for an efficient way to divert or combine water flow. This wye connection takes 1-1/2" slip fittings, which are designed to slide onto pipes with 1-1/2" inside diameters or 1-1/2" spigots. The actual dimensions of the wye are slightly larger in order to accommodate the thickness of the pipe.
This PVC wye connection features a true “Y” connection, which allows it to evenly disperse the water into two separate streams and reduce friction loss, unlike its sweep wye counterparts. Moreover, this manifold is designed to be glued into place for extra security after installation.
